Cubs (8-10½ years old)

‘The best part of Scouting is definitely the camps. I love every activity we do apart from swimming. They told us the pool was 24 degrees centigrade. Minus 24 more like!’

A Cub Scout Pack can have up to 36 Cub Scouts and is split into smaller groups called Sixes. Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors. All Cubs wear a uniform and can earn badges which they wear on their uniform. Badge placement diagram for Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Cub Scouts will also be able to go camping with the rest of their Pack, meaning they sleep in a tent and do lots of outdoor activities. Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.
