Chief Scout Award 

District are now funding all badges and certificates for the Chief Scout Award. 

Nights Away Notification

This form needs to be filled in for all over night activities, including sleep overs at your own headquarters.

You can submit your Nights Away Notification form online. Click here for the online form.

Remember to submit this form at least 7 days before your event. 

Nights Away Permit Application

This form needs to be filled in when applying for and renewing your Nights Away Permit.  Please submit this form to your Nights Away Adviser.

Nights Away Event Passport

The Nights Away Event Passport should be used on all youth led nights away activities where leaders are not present.

Adventurous Activity Permit Application

This application form can be used to apply for a permit for any activity, although there is no requirement to use it if you have other means of making contact with an assessor or booking onto an assessment course.

Training 

Leader Training

All training needs should be discussed with your Group Scout Leader (GSL) before booking any training courses. For all leader training, you can book on to free training provided by the County. For more information on training date click here to view the County Calendar or alternatively visit the County web site at gmescouts.org.uk

All Section Leaders and Section Supports must complete training modules 1 to 3 of Getting Started and training modules 5 to 19

All Group Managers and District Managers must complete training modules 1,2 & 4 of Getting Started and training modules 5 to 26

All leaders must complete mandatory ongoing learning modules. These are Safety, Safeguarding and First Aid. You can find links to the Safety and Safeguarding modules below.

This document is the Scout Personal Accident and Medical Expenses for Non Member Helpers and Supporters schedule of cover. You will need a copy of this document if you have Non Members attending any scouting activity, including meetings nights and nights away.
